Today’s halfdog nominee is the Colorado Avalanche. Last night, the Avalanche had a 2-0 lead over the Anaheim Ducks going into the third period. Things however turned south for Colorado, who allowed four goals in the third and lost 4-2. Ryan Getzlaf scored with just under 26 seconds left to seal the game. Giving away a game like that will always nominate a team for halfdog of the week.
